Monday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. So today i had my pre-op and it went very well. I am just a little nervous because my surgery is in 6 days. I am also really excited that i will be on the losers bench soon. Well i will update everything in 8 days when i come home.

So today i had a consult with a different doctor and they are going to submit my stuff to the insurance today. hopefully i will be approved by friday and can have my surgery scheduled for sometime in march( at the latest). i also decided to go with the RNY instead of the lap-band. After talking to the new doctor my husband and i decided that would be the best one for me.

so here is a little update on what is going on. well i am still waiting on the center of expertise so i can have my lap-band done, and yesterday i got my gallladder out by dr. ludwig. everything went well but it is very painful if i dont take my meds.

So today i called to check if the insurance approved me or not and the doctors office said they did but they denied the doctor and said i need to go somewhere else. i am really excited i got approved but i am disappointed that i have to find another doctor and go through the consult and everything again. hopefully this wont take that long.

My Story

Well like i said earlier my name is maureen and i am 23. Looking back I have been small most of my life, even though i always thought i was really big. I started gaining weight right after highscool and pretty much have never stopped. After i had my son i worked out for a year and a half , 2 hrs a day everyday and nothing changed. My mom had gastric bypass done 6 years ago so i started looking into it for myself about a year ago and found out about lap-band. i decided i wanted to have lap-band but my insurance wouldnt cover it so i gave up on that idea and tried going back to the gym, but its so frustrating working so hard and nothing changing. So i found out my insurance now covers it and i went through the process and i will be having surgery soon, also i decided to go with the gastric bypass seeing it will be easier for me.
