First post op appt...5 weeks!

Hi!

Well, lots of good news today! First I went to the dietitian and explained with my protein and not getting it in, calcium, B1 and vomiting a lot lately. So she told me that if I go and get some of the Isopure at GNC that I didn’t mind so much in the orange that are premixed then I drink one of those a day and then get either South Beach, Atkins, or Pure Protein bars and eat one of those a day but just cut them in small pieces. So that doesn’t sound bad to me. She also gave me some more samples of the calcium crystals and told me to mix them in some juicy juice. She said I need to get SOME carbs. I told her that I was gagging on the children’s chewable multi vitamins also and she told me they have a brand Nature’s Made (I think that’s either Walmart or Walgreens brand) but they are gel caps and she told me to drink it with some hot decaf tea.  With the vomiting, she told me to drink some hot tea right up until I eat each meal and it will relax everything so I wont vomit it up…funny….we went to Cracker Barrel on the way home….I drank hot tea…as soon as my meal came by belly was doing flip flops…so I ate a little and as you would know Scott had to stop just outside of Plainfield for me to get sick….ugh!! She also told me to switch to eating 6 one ounce meals per day. BTW…I have lost 51.1 lbs!!! That is according to the Bariatric Clinic before surgery then today!!!

Now Dr. Evanson’s office….he walked in and said, “WOW!“ Then he asked if I felt as good as I looked! He said that if I would have asked before how much he thought I would lose by this point he would have said probably 30 maybe 40 lbs at the most. He told me with the lack of protein…start on ground meats and lots of fish.  So I might eat the ground meat on occasion but I think I will probably try the isopure and the protein bars first. I don’t go back until August to see him actually August 20th (4 month surgery anniversary).  I told him as I was leaving that I would try for 100 lbs. by my next appointment and he said that I will be waaaayyy beyond that at my rate!  Of course I floated out of the office!
