Hi, I am MsDawn a 46 yr old mom of five boys, disabled with arthristis and fibro, I live in Anna TX, I am an alternate lifestyler and I run a Dog Rescue. I just had my gastric bypass on Mon April 7th 2008. I am hopeing to make friends and find a support group near Anna TX which is North of Dallas and McKinney on 75.

What a fantastic time. It was great seeing everyone again. I dropped 2 lbs this weekend to 310lbs that makes 97lbs gone since March. I really needed the conference support. Hugs MsDawn

I am really excited to be going to the conference on Fri! I will be packing my clothes tomorrow and going through my clothes to see what I want to donate to the clothing exchange! Goosh isn't it Friday yet????!

My Story

About 5 yrs ago, my weight had climbed to over 500 lbs. The highest scale I could find went to 504 and I maxed that out. I was in a wheel chair and on oxygen all the time. Just getting dressed was a nightmare in it's self. I went on Atkins and dropped to 343lbs. I LOVED atkins! Then I got divorced and got into another destructive relationship and slowly my weight crept up to 407lbs again. I KNEW I needed more than a diet and decided to get the lap band, well FORGET that! I saw a gf who should have lost a bunch of weight in the time she had had her lapband done and I watched her pack in more food than I could EVER think about eating one day at Wendys. I knew if I could cheat like her I would. So decided to do the gastric bypass. On April 7th 2008 I had my gastric done. I am looking forward to being a healthy NEW person and am getting a home gym on Fri April 25th 2008 and I can't wait. I have arthritis and fibro and sleep apnea and high blood pressure and this was a life saving procedure for me.  I have five sons and one grandson and I want to be around for a long time for them.  I also run a dog rescue in Anna TX.
