My Story

I have had a weight problem since I started birth control when I was 15 years old but it had recently gotten out of control in the last 5 years. I discovered that I had severe sleep apnea and it was taking quite a toll on my life. I did some research and found out that gastric bypass is recommended to resolve both my sleep apnea and my obesity. I am 5' 1" tall and was weighing in at 232 lbs. I decided Roux-en-Y was the right decision for me and had my procedure 11-29-07. I am now 2 months post-op and am down 36 lbs. My sleep apnea is almost completely resolved already and I am very grateful for this procedure.
