Hi Family I hope everyone has done their taxes tomorrow is the deadline.

I haven't posted in a while I have been dealing with a lot and just wasn't doing what I needed to do but I'm back.  I have recommited myself to doing the right thing.

I go in tomorrow for a fill I know the doctor is going to fuss at me but I deserve it I brought this on myself.  I fell back into my old routine of just eating any and everything.

I had this surgery because I wanted to take back control of my life and still and yet I'm allowing food to control us both.  I'm determined to do this and I thank everyone that encouraged me though this rough time it is greatly appreciated.

Good morning everyone I went to the doctor Friday for my 3rd fill.  I weighed in at 255.5 which is up about 5 pounds from two weeks ago.  So I welcomed my fill up open arms.  I'm even more determined now to make this tool work for me and me work with it.

I have recommitted myself to working out 5 days a week, drinking my water and watching my carbs.  With these 3 major life style changes I know that I can reach my goal by my anniversary date.  It's not easy but anything worth having never is.

I'm starting my day off with my coffee and then mid day I will have my breakfast 3 slices of bacon and one boiled egg.  I will drink a  minimum of 64 oz of water today.  About 3:30 I will have my lunch baked chicken and some greens.  I will finish up with dinner a protein shake and a long walk.

Well I am 3 months post op and I'm seem to be doing pretty good not as good as I could have been because I did fall off the wagon but I'm back on it and the scale seems to be moving in the right direction again.  I have been excersing regularly and also trying to remember to take my vitamins as I should.  I have been doing pretty good with my water I'm going to have another 20 oz before bed.  I know I will be running to the bathroom all night but it's okay I tell myself I'm making a fat drop off.  I will post some new pics soon to me they look like the old ones but there are a few they aren't cute or anything but in those I can see the difference.  Well I go to the doctor on the 19th I will report in then.

Good morning everyone it is a new month and the scale is moving.  I got up this morning did my sweating in the spirits 1.  I'm going to order #2 soon I hope it's as good as #1.  I'm fixing me breakfast now 2 boiled eggs and 3 slices of bacon.  I'm going to take my vitamins this morning.

When I get in this evening I'm going to do my walk away the pounds.  I feel really good his morning.  What a difference a morning work out makes.  My birthday is in 10 days so I want to at least be at 250 by then and I believe that I can make it.  My original goal was to be at 240 but I won't make it but at least I won't be in the 260's.  I'm back on track it took me a minute but I'm getting there.  I go to the doctor on the 18 I will le everyone know how it goes.

Hi everyone just wanted to drop in an give an update.  I went to the doctor on Tuesday I was down 4 more pounds but I know that I could have done a lot better if I would have stay on track.  But I have regrouped and I'm back on track.  He told me by the next time I come I should be down 10-12 pounds and to be honest I'm working hrd to be down 15 pounds.  I have to play catch up.

He gave me my second fill and I can tell the difference I have restriction.  After my first fill I could eat anything and as much of it as I wanted.  Now I am limited and I'm so thankful my band is finally working.  I'm going to set down and plan my menu for the week so that way I won't go off track.  I went to GNC and got some Muscle Milk Light it's not bad I got some on clearance that expires in April because that stuff is expensive.  I hope to see the scale really moving and also I vowed to weigh myself once a week instead of everyday and dealing with up and downs of the scale rollercoaster.

I will be sure to keep you all posted.

My Story

My name is Pam I'm married to my childhood sweetheart we have been together on and off for 23 years.  And I love him just as much today as I did the day I met him I must say it was love at first sight.  We have two young adults.  I have been fighting or should I say loosing the battle of the bulge off and on most of my life but I haven't been able to loose it since my last child was born 18 years ago.  I have tired almost every diet on the market they work for and then one of us gets tired. (me or the diet)I have been pondering over bariatric surgery for a while but was a little afraid until my primary care physician recommended the lap band.  I have read all kind of literature and been to every website trying to prepare for this life changing event.  I know that I have to do my part  and I'm finally ready to step up to the plate because of the complications from type II diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and Lord only knows what else. I'm ready to live and take control of my life.
