6 yrs post op...

So it's been 6.5 yrs since I had the RNY. Since then, soooooo much has happened. I haven't posted ANYTHING on here in yrs. But while speaking with a co-worker regarding weight loss surgery, I thought of this site. I just finished reading my profile page & looking at my old pics and all I can say is wow! Reading my profile has helped me...remember... To date my lowest weight has been 212.  In 2012 I had an abdominoplasty to get rid of the dreaded...(gasp) apron, lol. I remember saying with certainty that I would NEVER be this size again. However, as of today I weigh 254. I now realize that I've gotten back into the cyclical weightloss battle. Life has definitely thrown me more than a few curve balls in the last 5 yrs. And throughout those challenges I've allowed food to become my comforter...again.  I can now see clearly that I lost focus of why I had this procedure in the first place. I lost touch with the simple goals I had six yrs ago. Seeing my words & recalling my feelings has reawakened a spirit in me. I feel renewed, reenergized and excited again. Today, at this moment, I am recommitting to taking care of myself...physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Peace!
