Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I fought the battle of Obesity all my life, weighing in at 36 pounds at 4 months of age. I was an emotional eater, I ate when I was depressed, bored, stressed, happy,,I ATE! I tried every diet , and lost weight, only to regainit again. I felt like it was hopeless.

    Sis. Betsy, I'm so glad I found your OH page! How wonderful to see your story and how you progressed to your current weight! Thank you for posting with such honesty and transparency. I'm also an Apostolic Pentecostal lady (I currently live in Apopka, FL, formerly of Newport News, VA) and looking into the LAP-Band procedure. I hope to have the procedure done before the end of this summer. I'd really like to have some significant weight loss before General Conference in Tampa where I expect to see my former pastors and friends from Virginia. Will you and your husband be there? If so, I'd love the chance to meet you, even for a few minutes...it's been years since we've been to a GC, but I remember well that it's very busy for ministers.     Betsy, I was reading all about your weight loss experience =) That's all very exciting. I'm in the process of getting mine approved. Hopefully I will know soon. I am also UPC and I noticed your beautiful picture and I knew right away you were a woman of God =)! I'm also very involved with music so I was excited to see that you were also. Have a great day!
