Almost Done Well I guess Im different than most people. I really did my process backwards. I have a wonderful Bariatric Nurse thats works with UHC and she has been so amazing. She has guided me through the numerous of hoops and processes that one has to undergo to get approval for Gastric Bypass. Right now im just waiting for the Yes from my insurance. I feel in my heart that it wont be a problem. I also spoke with Miss A (nurse) and she assured me that she completed all the paper work properly and there is a very very very very slight chance of a NO. So that made me more anxious. I had to do a six month diet, get cardiac clearance, pulmonary clearance, sleep study, psyhce eval. Now im done with it all. The funny thing about it, I havent even gotten a chance to see the Bariatric Surgeon yet Lol. My apt with them is on December 17, 2007. By the time my appointment is, I should already have a Yes. Typically a person is to make the appointment with the surgeon first and let them do all the paper work, schedule all the tests, send the request to your insurance. So on December 17, 2007 when I go, only thing i should have to do is see a nurtrionists, exercise person and start my Low carb diet to shrink my liver.. So Id be on the fast track. I might not be able to eat Xmas dinner on the flip side . I'll have to be on a diet for like 3 weeks.
