Surgeon Testimonial

George G. Zorn M.D.
7/2/07 - First impressions are usually the best impression. Dr. Zorn was very friendly, he talked alot about the surgery and things I should do to get ready for the surgery. He showed alot of concern for me and that was very important to me. I think it was a good match.

Friday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench!

Just Checking In
on July 14, 2008 1:18 pm

Yes it's been a very long time since I checked in.  I have been very very busy, but still working on my weight loss.  I love the fact that my clothes size changed from 34 to size 18, but I need to exercise to help the weight loss speed up.  Thank you to everyone that sent messages and notes to me, I have not forgotten my friends at OH, just been too busy with work, children and grandchildren.

LOVE YOU ALL

3 Month Check-up
on December 25, 2007 9:47 am
This past week, I had my 3 month check up and labs taken.  I have been having some sleeping issues (only sleeping 3-4 hrs. each nite), I am also having some numbness in my hands.  My labs show that my Thiamine (B1) is low and my doctor instructed me increase my B1 to 100 mg daily.

Otherwise, I am doing well, I love the fact that my clothes are too-BIG,  before surgery I was wearing 5X and now I'm down to 2x

I want to lose more weight and I know I need to increase the exercise, but it's been so hard for me to accomplish that goal.  I don't have any regrets, I would have the surgery again.

As this year comes to a close, I thank God for allowing me another opportunity to lose weight and make my life a happier and more healthier one.  God bless you you all and have a very happy New Year!

8 weeks out
on November 4, 2007 7:51 am
Well it's been 8 weeks and I'm doing just great.  I'm eating very slow these days so I don't , but everything is going okay.  I have tried to get more exercise in my routine, been going to the gym and using the machines and also returned to curves.  I want to lose another 30 pounds before next dr's appt. in December.  I had a great wow moment, I actually wore a 2x brouse and it was great!  I have not wore 2x in 20 years

First Month Check-up
on October 13, 2007 7:29 am
I just had my lst month check up and everything is going well.  I am still eating soft foods, making very small pieces, etc.  I have to remind myself to eat slow, I often forget and then I am feeling.  The doctor told me to start water aerobics and weight training.  I have been somewhat lazy, not really exercising, but I want to lose the weight. My labs were okay, I am taking my vitamins everyday.  I am so happy that I had WLS. My only regret is getting rid of so many of my clothes.

Two-Week Check-up
on September 13, 2007 5:11 pm

Today was my 2-week check up and I am feeling bloated and alittle nausea, otherwise all is well.  I was told to do stage 4 diet (cottage cheese, egg, cream of wheat or rice,
etc.)  I am drinking lots of liquids but not much protein,  but tomorrow I will attempt to make my protein shake and see if I can keep it down.  After all that, the good news is I lost 15 pounds
