Pre admission testing

Hello all, well yesterday, I went for my pre admissions testing and everything came out ok!! I am getting so nervous and excited, I am forgetting everything!! Please keep me in prayer that I don't forget anything and that everything comes out ok!!

Last Visit with Doctor before Surgery!!

Today, I went to see my surgeon, and he said I am doing really good, I don't have to go on a liquid diet until 48 hours before my surgery as long as I maintain the low calorie plan I am on now!!!!I am really getting excited now, I go Monday morning to hospital for pre-surgery testing.

surgery clearance

Hello everyone, I went to my family doctor today, to get clearance for my surgery, everything was good!!! the time seems to be flying. I have lost 9 of the 20 pounds I am suppose to lose for surgery.  I am trying!!!!

I RECIEVED A CALL WED. FROM MY SURGEON!!! I HAVE A DATE!!!!  IT IS FEB. 15, 2010!!!!  I AM SO SCARED AND EXCITED AT THE SAME TIME. BUT I AM READY TO DO THIS, THIS IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!

My Story

Hello everyone, my name is Paulette and I am 56 years old. Every since I can remember I have been bigger than most of my friends, but I seemed to always fit in and have a good time.  Was pretty healthy as a child and had a great social life.  I have been married twice and now single and loving it!!  lol  The last 2 years I have been plagued with so many health issues and I believe that I have arthritisis from my hair line to my toes!!!!  All my doctors kept saying get some of that weight off, but I was tired of all the fad diets and starvation diets, so I didn't do anything about it, until my back started hurting so bad, I can hardly walk.......of course the doctors say get some of that weight off!!  So here I am, ready to get my life together and live a happy and productive life, I love to travel and this has been keeping me close to the house......no no no this won't do!!! So with the help of surgery and my family and you all I would like to make this happen. I'm scared and nervous, but I have three fantastic grandkids that I want to be around to see grow up!!!  So I am ready to walk this journey and live a healthy and stress free life if I can!!  I went to my counseltation on the 26th of Aug. Friday I had an ultra sound and endoscopy done and tomorrow I go to the lung doctor.  I am ready, I think  lol.
