First of all I want to thank ObesityHelp for this site.  It is so much better than any therapy.  There are tons of great people out there struggling with the same problem.  

I have been struggling with my weight for about 35 years.  I have always seemed to be good at many things.  I am a great mother, I have been a successful pharmacist for 23 years and more.  I can never seem to win at this weight loss game.  I have been to all of the programs multiple times, tried all the diets, read the books and more.  I always seem to loose some, then gain more.  I did not have much help when I was married, my ex was never supportive and would sa cruel  things sometimes.

I am now beginning a new book in my life.  I am sure that the surgery will be my answer and I will achieve my goal.  

I know that I have you guys out there to cheer me on.  Wish me luck!!

I know that I have not posted in a while, sorry for the delay.  I was so glad to see the scale actually stay below 200.  I am never going back there again.  I love my band.  I had a great loss in the beginning.  Things slowed down on the third month but now I have good restriction and I am thrilled.  I am on my way to goal...... wish me luck!

Tomorrow is the big day!!

Well tomorrow is the big day.  I am actually looking forward to it.  If there are fears they have not reached the surface yet.  I think that it has been such a long time in getting to today i am jut glad that it is here.  I am having my sugery outpatient in Ocala Florida by Dr. Jawad.  I will give you all of the gory details this weekend.  Thanks for all of your support!!

Only a few days left

I am ready!!!  I completed my pre-op on Thursday and my surgery is scheduled for Friday February 1st.  I really feel like it is going to be my new "BirthDay".  I am not scared but looking forward to the change.  I had my "Before" photos taken at Dr. Jawad's office.  I wore a shirt that I swore that I would never wear again.  Last time I wore it a woman in the Plus Size department asked me if I was "Expecting".  I was horrified.  I know that this will not continue.  I am going to make a deal with my band.  I will be good and it will help me reach my goal.

I have a surgery date!!!

It has been a long journey since my first seminar.  I was truly disappointed to learn that my insurance denied my approval.  It hurts at that point  beause all those  months you have reassured yourself in every way that this is the answer .  I have struggled with my weight for over 30 years.  I made the decision to make the sacrafice and finance my new body!!!

I am looking forward to it.  My surgery date is 02/01/2008
