Surgeon Testimonial

Timothy Custer, M.D.
When I went for my first consultation, I wasn't sure what I thought of Dr. Custer. He seemed nice but I try not to make decisions on first impressions until I've gotten to known someone a little better. By the end of my hospital stay I now know he has a great bedside manner and is a skilled and caring surgeon.

I had my surgery out of the Barix Center in Columbus, OH and the majority of the staff I dealt with there was great.

I have already told a couple of people of Dr. Custer and I will continue to do so! I feel that he truly cares about the well being of his patients and wants to see us succeed in our new lives!

I am so glad that not only is he a successful surgeon but he has a great bedside manner! He even made room for me at his second office at the last minute so he could remove my drain because my discharge nurse mis-scheduled my appointment and he wanted to get it out on time!!

Very glad I chose him for my partner in this journey!!!

First Consultation
Today I went for my first consultation for bariatric surgery.  I was so nervous.  "What if I don't have enough comorbidities?", "What if my insurance won't pay?", "What if after losing the weight I look horrible with all the leftover skin?",  what if, what if!!?  There were so many "what if's" racing through my mind.  Well, the center says I am an "ideal" candidate for the procedure so that's one thing down.  Now, hopefully, my insurance won't give any grief in approving things.  Crossing all 10 fingers!!

I am pretty lucky, the only testing that they are requesting is a Sleep Study.  I'm pretty sure that the Sleep Apnea thing is an easy "yes" in my case but have to do things by the books.

Hopefully I'll be able to continue adding positive things here.
