Week and a few days Post Op
on January 23, 2012 7:09 am

I am a week and 3 days post op...The first week was the worst for me!!!! I have returned to work today and finally feel somewhat like myself. I haven't weighed myself since day 5 but then I was down to 300...on my way back to the 200's! (Yay me lol). Haven't seen a 2 anything since I was 18. Anywho, I had read about the gas pains prior to surgery but that was nothing like I imagined. It didn't hit me until a day after surgery. The only problem I had post op immediately was incision pain...In which I am still having. The largest incision, the one the stomach was pulled gave me excruciating pain right after surgery and is still giving me some discomfort today. Hopefully the pain passes soon, but I am grateful I no longer have the gas pain.

My Story

I'm 23, mother of one. I work full time and I am in the process of going back to school to finish up my nursing degree. I've always been big my whole life. Cant really remember a time I was under 200lbs besides elementary school. I had my daughter at an early age of 16 and put on some weight from that, plus the depo birth control. Before I had my daughter I was about 240. After I had her I was about 275, then three months after that from the depo, I was pushing 300. My hightest weight was 324 at the age of 21.  I have tried numerous weight loss attempts from Weight Watchers, to b12 shots and appetite suppersors, strarvation, etc. But nothing provided longterm success. I eventually gained my weight back, sometime more.
