I AM APPROVED!!

So that is the good news...
now the bad news...

I have to pay the hospital UPFRONT for the surgery!  Which is a HELLUVA lot!!!  Lets put it this way... my insurance caps off at 7500!!  I havent met my 1500 deductable yet for this year.  So.. now we have to scramble to come up with loans or ways to come up with the money before october 5th!!

Prayers would be greatly appreciated!!!! 

HE brought me this far... fighting the battle with my dr's office getting all the needed things in.. took several months!!  HE will find a way!

Oh.. and today marks 3 weeks smoke free..

eta: that should read.. the insurance caps off at 7500 for bariatric surgery.

Well... after several calls to my surgeons office.. and to my care manager at my insurance.. Leaving messages after messages, getting inpatient.. I finally get a call from my insurance.. it was a nurse, she was letting me know that my care managers phone system is all messed up, that she did receive all the faxes.. and that it appears that it was everything that she needed, she will have to open up a new request, but,  probably not til tomorrow.  sooooooo Hopefully I will find out tomorrow if my insurance approved.   My poor patience is running out. 

Been wanting ciggs... ESPECIALLY today! ahhhHHHH!  but, I am proud to say that tomorrow will be 3 weeks smoke free

Well... I talked to the care manager from my insurance.  She told me that she received the faxes but she has not had time to look at them and probably wont before she gets off for the day.. so she said that she will put it on my original care managers desk so she can look at them first thing monday morning.  This is going to be a LONGGGGG weekend!

So.. confusing!! ahhhhHHHH! I did talk to the office manager at the family care clinic here and she said that my Doctor turned in an adendum!  She had been trying to fax them and they werent going through!  Wrong fax number! WTHeck?
So she called my insurance and got ahold of a different care manager since mine was off today, got her fax to send them to her directly, so I called my insurance and talked to this care manager.   She was still waiting on the fax to come through.    Since the "request" expired today for my care manager... I think this one might take it over ... she said she could look at it see if she can take care of it or have it sent to her medical director.. I asked, if went by those "scenarios" if she could open up a new request.. what are we looking at for time for approval if it was everything that they required?  She said that if she approves it... it could be just a few hours!  If she had to turn it over to her medical director it could take about a week.  wow! That is cutting it close! 
So.. in the next .... hour to hour and a half, I am going to call her back... make sure she received everything that was needed.

It is 2 weeks til October 8th.  I should be excited!  But,... I'm not.  My insurance called me today.. They still (after about 4 months) have not received all the information they need from my doctor to qualify me!  This has been a serious on-going battle!  The last piece of info they needed was that my doctor 'medically cleared me for surgery'. He has not written that down.. what he wrote down was that he thinks I am a good candidate for the gastric bypass.  My doctor had all the information that my insurance needed from day one!!!  I guess that tomorrow my insurance is 'voiding the request'.  I have an appointment for monday to see my doctor and I will go in there and ask him... WTH???  and stand next to him as he faxes it to my insurance!!!  If he does not do this.. my insurance will not qualify me! 
I am 2 and a half weeks out of not smoking... MAN do I need one now!! :( 
I have been off and on crying for these last several days... I NEED this surgery!!!!
