almost 6 weeks post-op
on August 5, 2012 9:53 am
I am about 2 days shy of 6 weeks.  I can get in roughly 2-2 1/2 oz in.  So bored with pureed, cant wait to go to solids this week.. although it scares me some.  ohhhh and *TMI* but my bowels are all messed up... Bad constipation.  Tried Miralax, suppositories, laxatives.. it would get a little movement.. then nothing again. I do get to start a fiber regimin this week which I pray helps! Including weighing myself this morning I am down 24 lbs since surgery.  I had 2 stalls. In the beginning I lost an average of almost a lb a day.. then had a stall then maybe 1/2 lb.. then had another stall.  I realize that these are minor stalls compared to further out when I will go longer than a week without movement in scales, but, I have noticed that it seems that normally the biggest part of the weight loss is in the beginning. I know this is my journey and is unique to me, that I should be happy that I am losing weight... even extremely slowly is good, but, I cant help to be jealous of those losing so much more!  I cant help but to think that I am the one of the few that sleeve doesnt work for.. but, I have to wipe that out of my head... I am losing.. even if SLOW... I am still losing.. it is BETTER than gaining!!!

Ok.... stopped and re-read what I wrote and 24 lbs... divided by 6 weeks is an average of 4 lbs a week.. which is... GOOD... it would be hard to do that without surgery. I need to think more positively on this.. just have FAITH
