My Sleeve is done

Dr. David Syn, did my gastric sleeve September 6th in Lubbock, TX.  I was kept in the hospital a few extra days due to loosing too much blood during surgery and not being able to expand my lungs.  I did get to go home Thursday night the 8th.  I then developed blood clots both deep vein and superficial.  So I returned to the hospital Wednesday the 14th.  I was put on blood thinners and bed rest.  I was able to go home Sunday the 18th.  I am feeling pretty good, the hardest part is  swallowing.  It is very tight even when I think I have chewed and cannot chew anymore.

I really hate the mind,nose, and mouth hunger!  Those body parts still want food while my tummy says not interested!!

Why is every other commercial about food???

My Story

My Story is a lot like many of you.  I have been overweight to morbidly obese for most of my life.  I have tried every diet from Adkins to Zone.  I would loose on them and then gain it back and then some.  I am done with the yo yoing and this is my new life.

My husband had RnY April 25th,2011 and I am scheduled for VSG September 12,2011.  He has done great with RnY.  I just never have been too keen on the rerouting of my intestines.

I do not have much support from my family. They are of the idea that you can just push away from the table.  My mom also said that what we were doing was the easy way out??? so you see what I am dealing with.

I am a recent working, mother of 3. My family is my life and I am tired of being to big to enjoy things with my kids.  I do not want kids at school to tease my kids because I am so big, I want to sit in a movie theater seat comfortably, I want to fit into an airplane seat and have a stranger be OK with sitting next to me.  Run after my kids and maybe get close to catching them!! hahah..  I want to get healthy and stay healthy.
