I can't believe it's been a year!
on September 17, 2009 6:29 pm
Sorry I don't get on here very much anymore, I hardly even Facebook!
So, it's been a year and 2 days since my surgery and I'm glad to say all is well! I'm still working at my oil tools store. I started in the office, but moved out to the store to be amongst the people. I sell parts for the oil field and pipelines in our area. i used to go on more deliveries than I do now since we're pretty short-handed there. I love my job, I've learned SO much, plus I get to give people crap. Being a smart-ass is kinda my forte.

I thought I would mention that I'm living a normal life, eating what I want to (for the most part) and still being able to have a "drink". When I signed up for this, I wasn't sure what kind of lifestyle I would have after all, but I still enjoy everyhting I used to, just at a much smaller scale.

So here's my new stats, I totally lost my measurements I took when I started, but these numbers are good enough for me:
This morning I weighed 164 - starting weight was 288 total weight loss  -  124 pounds
(I set a goal of 113 pounds loss with the Doc)
I now have a BMI of 23.5 rather than 41.3, which I started with.

Well, I better pack it in for the night, Just wanted to update things since I hit this important milestone. I'm doing way better than I ever imagined and I hope the best of everyone out there going through this whole thing. It's quite the ride, so put your hands in the air and enjoy it!!!

and it's still going well (knock on wood). I'm hanging steady at 171.5, which puts me at 116.5 lost. I hope all is well with all my OH buddies, sorry I'm not on here as much, I've been having too much fun on Facebook. Shame on me!!
Take Care!!!

My Story

I'm 5'9"+ and have struggled with weight as long as I can remember. I remember being called names in elementary and started hiding food in the 3rd grade. I broke the 200 mark my Junior year in high school, even though I was active and in track/field as a thrower (I guess I should've been a runner). My family moved around a lot when I was growing up. I was born here in ND (Oct. 7, 1981), then we moved to Palestine, Texas, moved back here, back to Texas, back here, then to Fresno Cali., back here, back to Texas, then back here to N.D. when I was a Sophomore in H.S. (1996). Amazingly we're all still here. I met Darren when I was 17, he was 20. We married August 10th 2002 when I was 20 and had our daughter Kylee 1 year and 6 days later (Aug. 16 2003). Our son Morgan was born July 24 2006. I have a great life and a wonderful family.
