My goodness gracious! I haven't updated here for over a month! Well, I'm down 88 pounds as of this morning. Yes, it is coming off more slowly than I would really love it to, but it IS coming off, so I'm counting my blessings. I've been a "gym rat" for the past 3-4 weeks, bicycling, treadmilling, aqua-aerobicising, and swimming. I met with a personal trainer several weeks back, and will be starting to work with her bi-weekly in September. She seems like somebody I'll like working with, and with such a "gentle" name... Theresa :) She and I did a 'fitness test' on the treadmill, and my results came out "22 - in the poor range." Oh well, gotta get that baseline information! Don't plan on staying there long either :)
The other day when I was running down the hall towards the shower in my bathing suit, Bernie wondered aloud where my behind "diamond" had disappeared to!?! That made me smile from ear to ear. I know that the numbers on the scale are not decresing much, but I do see my fat deposits decreasing. I still am having to throw into the Salvation Army basket clothes that no longer fit, and magically fit into things that wouldn't go past my hips only weeks before. So, something's happening. I'm making sure I get my minimum of 64 ounces /2 liters of water daily by using my 1 liter Davis Food Co-op Nalgene bottles. One is orange, one purple. Who wouldn't want to carry those around? What else. I'm doing my darndest to stick to three meals a day, and one snack. I usually eat on my way to work in the morning (between 7:30 - 8:00), at noon, eat a snack around 3:00-3:30, workout when I get home (usually between 5:00 - 6:00), and eat dinner when I get home around 6:00. I feel like my grandma and grandpa Lewton who ate, like clockwork, at scheduled times, each day. Well, I guess they knew something I didn't, huh? And we've been eating almost exclusively at home. We know what we're putting into our bodies, and the other awesome advantage, we're saving BUCKS!!! We're already fantasizing about all the million ways we want to spend it,; me on a trip to Tahiti, SCUBA lessons, 2CV parked in my driveway, Longchamps handbag, French doors installed in our bedroom.... the list goes on and on.
Well, I could go on and on too (obviously), but I think I'll sign off, and say, 'until next time!,
Love, JJ
