Update on the blisters on my legs..........
The dermatologist says it's bug bites. Of course by the time I got to see her all I had left were scars. So I have my doubts but will keep an eye on them. Hopefully they won't return.

Hello everybody!!! Sorry I haven't been on but I have had a lot going on. So I will try to give you the short version of the past couple of months. I apologize ahead of time if this ends up being rather long.
First, if you all remember I had some trouble with some of my testing. I had my EKG come back abnormal...it said right ventricular infarction...Doc says that means a heart attack. So I went for a stress test and it was inconclusive and the nuclear pics of my heart wear unclear because my breast tissue is so dense. So I had to have a heart cath done. Finally an answer......my heart is fine!! No build up, no clogs, no damage to my heart. I asked Doc if I had a heart attack and he said NO!!! He said my heart is beautiful and he wants to see me in a year.
So I go back to see my surgeon, who, by the way, was unhappy with the fact that I had gained 17 pounds the last time I saw him. He wanted me to lose it by the time he saw me again. He tells me I have gall stones and I need my gall bladder removed. So I have the surgery and heal from it and go back to see him and I lost 14 pounds!! Woooo hoooo!!!! lol Then I find out from the lady who handles the insurance stuff in my surgeon's office that my primary insurance requires a 3 year medically supervised diet. I cried. My secondary requires 6 months. I had given up hope of having the surgery this year. I had resigned myself to the fact that I was not getting the surgery before I turned 40. So I start the medically supervised diet with my PCP and attend weight management classes at my surgeon's office.
I have been very discouraged but not giving up. I really wanted to have the surgery before Christmas so that by my birthday I could start feeling better. I also wanted to give myself new (smaller) clothes for my birthday, which is in April.
I went to Ohio this weekend to visit some family. I also went and visited my parents' graves. I hadn't been there since Dad died 2 years ago. I couldn't even make myself go when Mom died last year. I talked with both of them and cried my heart out that I felt so bad and sick all the time but it looked as though I wasn't getting my much needed surgery till next year. I had a great visit with my brothers, sisters in law, nieces, and nephews. I didn't get to see some of my brothers and my sister and am very heart broke they weren't available while I was in town.
2 of my sisters in law have had the bypass surgery and both are doing so well now. I couldn't believe how good they looked and they said they feel great. This made me a little more down ‘cause I want so bad to get this done so I can be healthy and do the things they do.
My visit ended this morning and I returned home today. I checked my mail and I had a letter from my primary insurance. I knew it was a denial because I hadn't had any supervised diet yet. I was about to cry again when I opened it and started reading............I HAVE BEEN APPROVED!!!!!!!!! No supervised diet needed!!!! I am jumping for joy!!! The only restriction is that I have to have the surgery before 12-31-06. So as soon as my surgeon's office opens in the morning I am calling to set up my date!! As soon as I have a date I will post and let you all know. Sorry again if this is long. I'll try not to stay away so long next time.
Oh!! I forgot. I'm having a second sleep study done tomorrow night. I have to have a C-Pap machine due to respiratory distress while sleeping. yippee.
