I recently was ableto get a response on the clothing exchange forum (after months of messaging with no responses) and got a great deal on some beautiful clothes. There were 2 pieces that were still a little small (I should be able to wear them in about a month or so), but the rest fit just fine. I wanted to share so I took some pics. I love them soooooo much.

This is the Oriental Pant Suit

This is the 3 piece skirt suit (you can't see the black bead work, but trust me, it's gorgeous)

This is my favorite. A navy blue lace dress

And last, but not least...the pajamas that DH bought me a long time ago. I was too fat to wear them till now...they are big on me now.

I told DH that I felt beautiful in these new clothes. His response?? "You are beautiful, but not because of the clothes." Good answer. He scored major brownie points tonite!!    I only paid $10 for everything but the jammies, plus 2 pieces that were still small. Thank you Charlotte!!!

It's been a while since I posted anything. So here's an update. John and I were playing around with the camera. So here's a couple of new pics. This first one is my favorite.

This one is for Josie. She likes for me to wear my hair down. But I really do need a trim. I've had no hair loss. My hair is thicker than before surgery. Guess I wasn't getting enough protein before.

In other news....

A couple of weeks ago I tried to get out and dig in the dirt and hurt my right knee again. I ent to see my PCP and she sent me to see the Orthopedic Surgeon again. A year ago he wanted me to lose weight before he'd fix me up. I have lost 115 pounds since then. So Thursday (7-27-07) I will be having a scope done to repair a meniscus tear and scrap away some arthritis. I've been told by others who've had it done that I will be glad I had this done. It's better than having a whole knee replacement. Recovery is significantly shorter.

John and I are walking 2 miles a day now. I no longer look for the closest parking space. I can now stand and wash dishes without a lot of pain. I'm walking to the grocery to get a few things and home again (about 1/2 mile).

After my knee heals and I can safely be on it for hours at a time I plan to go get a job. It's been a long time since I've worked outside the home. I've tried looking into some data entry jobs from home, but all the ones I've found have proven to be scams even before I start. It would be nice to get something like that, but now I'm thinking more along the lines of Walmart or Kmart. At least I know they're real jobs and I don't have to pay to start working.

I do still plan to attend college, but the Ortho and my PCP both want me to wait until I get both knees fixed. One of my classes will require long periods of standing. Once I've healed and get the OK, then I will go start some classes.

Well, I think that's it for now. I will update again as soon as I have anything new.
