Well, where should I start, I guess at the beginning…..LOL, LOL. It’s Friday evening and I am sitting in front of my pc updating. O Father, I have gotten old! Anyway, I started running at the end of September, which was a definite WOW moment. Who would have thunk it!!!! I can do about ½ a mile before stopping. I really want to run the Peachtree Road Race next year, I think it’s about 5 miles, so I am getting started now. Another WOW moment was visiting my in-laws last week. We were getting ready for my mother-in-law 92nd birthday celebration and of course I was over dressed. I wanted to go back to our hotel room and change, but didn’t have time for that. Well, my sister-in-law asked what size I wear now. I told her I can wear a 16. Well, I ended up sporting one of her pants suits……………WOW!!!! The pants were actually a little big in the legs. I felt great! For the first time EVER I was smaller than all but two of my sister-in-law’s. Even my mother-in-law mentioned that I really looked good and was a nice size. I couldn’t believe that. She has always said something about how big I was so to hear her say that I was a nice size was GREAT!!! I don’t think people who have never struggled with weight issues understand the magnitude of the weight loss. It totally frees you. I feel like I can do ANYTHING now and not ashamed to do it. I would have never run in the gym before, but now, just call me Forest!! Next week we are going to meet my parents and other family members in
Jackson, TN. My little brother attends college up there. I can’t wait for them to see me. They haven’t seen me since June. Heck I have lost 40 pounds since then. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures when we went to
Louisiana last week, but I will definitely be snapping up photos next weekend. I will make sure to post them. The kids are doing well, the DH is doing well. He mentioned that my breasts are getting smaller and that after I am finish losing, I need to get implants………..LOL, LOL, LOL!!!! Heck, my mother is a B cup, so it’s hereditary………LOL, LOL, LOL!!! I don’t want implants, but I do want a tummy tuck. I have a pannus, I am praying that the running and ab workouts help, but if not that is about the only ps I want. My arms are toning pretty well, so I’m not worried so much about them. My back fat is also shrinking. To all of the pre-ops that may be reading this, be patient, your time is coming. Don’t let anything or anyone stand in the way of your journey. I am totally enjoying the ride. Until next time, be safe, love yourself, and keep smiling. Most of all KEEP LOSING!
