Surgeon Testimonial

Beth Schrope, M.D.
New post - Dr Schrope is a wonderful caring surgeon and I still agree with all my previous posts. Just to let you know.....an even better nugget of proof. I had a stomach issue a few weeks ago and another bariatric surgeon came to see me in the ER (not the same place where Dr. Schrope practices) He said to me after looking at a scan, that no my band wasnt causing the problem because my band was so perfectly surgically put in that it wasnt going anywhere. NOW even though i was still in pain (from another issue) I felt good in knowing another surgeon acknowledged her work

Aftercare programs
on April 23, 2010 10:18 pm
Now I am 9 months postop, ....I know not that long.....BUT....I really like my surgeon but compared to the other programs in the area I see (ie - St Barnabas)  I have not such a great aftercare program.   Now dont get me wrong, I love the staff at my surgeons office.  BUT!!! when I hear that other programs are offering so much more to their patients like yoga classes, I want to join.  BUT....this program wont even take my money to join a class or two....ITS ONLY for patients in their practice....that pisses me off....cant we all help each other....its not like their is a stampede of us flocking in.   Thanks for the rant

Well folks I am now 15 days post op (although it feels longer than that)  I have spent the last five days in the hospital on IV antibodics!!!  Some how I was one of the few lucky who developed a BAD infection after surgery that I didnt know of and it got really bad that I developed cellulitus and was thrown back in the hospital.  I am doing fine now and stayed on my puree while i was in the 2x4 space.  Still glad i did it even though there was a large bump in the road.

I am home :)

Finally after 2 days in the hospital and 7 days with my parents I am back home in my own bed :)
This is surely a drastic lifestyle change I have chosen and I have sensations in my body now that are
very different and sometimes I dont understand them but I am glad that I made the choice to do it.  Now onward with my journey.
