Pre-Op testing

Yesterday I did the pro-op testing. I registered in the hopsital for the surgery. It was crazy  because everything actually hit me that day. Like OOOO SH***T!!! It's about to go down. And they booked the OR for me before I even got approved by HIP. I guess that insurance company is that good. Now I have to order all these vitamins, get all these liquids. My life is about to change. It's really hitting me now but I don't look at it like, OK I'm going to be skinny because I don't to be skinny but I look at it like. OK I'm bout to be healthy again, OK I have my life back. I'm only 21. I can barley do normal daily things because I get so tired so fast. I hate the way I look so I hardly leave the house. I've been like this since I was like 16, so It's crazy. Long time coming and I'm ready to embrace the change. So for all those that will actually read this. Don't worry, put your faith in God and all will fall into place.

I'll write back in couple days, they making me go back for testing because my potassium is low!!

Today's visit!!

11/20/06- Today I FINALLY!! found out what test I have to take to prep for this surgery. Dr.Carryl's assistant said I don't have to take a lot of tests because I don't have any real medical history. So, I have the Nutritional & Psychiatric evaluations. Abdominal sonogram, chest x ray. A support group, a letter from my PCP and I'm done. I called my  PCP to make a appointment so I can get the referrals to schedule these other appointments. So that's Dec 4. I can't wait. I saw so many ladies today in Dr.Carryl's office, some just got their surgeries and others had theirs a while ago. So just to hear how happy they were made me feel good that I made the right decision. I trust this doctor. So we'll see! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! =)
