I REALLY DO LIKE MY SURGEON HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CARING TO MY NEEDS. ALWAYS TOOK EXTRA TIME IN EXPLAINING HIMSELF ABOUT WHY HE NEEDED TO DO THINGS DIFFERENT IN MY CASE.HE IS A VERY INTELLEGENT MAN THAT HAS WROTE MANY MEDICAL PAPERS AND TEACHES OTHER DOCTORS AND IS WORLD RENOWN IN WHAT HE DOES. I HAVE SEEN MANY OTHER SPECIALTY DOCTORS WHO COULDNT HELP ME AND HE DIAGNOSED MY PROBLEM IN MY FIRST VISIT AND REALLY IMPROVED MY QUALITY OF LIFE. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 12 YEARS I AM NO LOGER VOMITING MY FOOD AND NO LONGER HAVE A SEVERE CASE OF GERD. I DO HOWEVER DO NOT LIKE THAT WHEN U SEE THIS PHYSCIAN U DO HAVE TO WAIT SOMETIMES OVER AN HOUR! THE REST OF THE STAFF AT THE CLEVELAND CLINIC WAS GREAT. I DO HOWEVER DO NOT GIVE ANY HIGH MARKS IN THE PSYCH DEPARTMENT WHO NOT ONLY HELD UP MY SURGERY FOR SEVERAL MONTHS BUT DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THINGS IN A TIMELY OR COURTESY MANNER. NOT ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE THIS TYPE OF SURGERY IS FOR WEIGHT LOSS BUT FOR MEDICAL CONDITIONS WHICH THEY TOTALLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND. THE DEPT PUTS EVERYONE IN THE SAME CATAGORY AND IS UNABLE TO THINK OTHER WISE. DR SCHAUER HAS A GREAT BEDSIDE MANNER AND IS VERY COMPETENT IN HIS WORK THAT IS WHY HE IS WORLD RENOWN IN BARACTRIC SURGERY.........THANKS DR SCHAUER

HELLO! MY NAME IS KRISTA IM 37YRS OLD AND HAD A OPEN RNY ON 7/11/07.I  HAVE A 5year OLD DAUGHTER THAT KEEPS ME BUSY! I HAVE HAD A VBG 13 YEARS AGO THAT WENT BAD AND VOMITED FOR THOSE ENTIRE 13 YEARS DUE TO THE BAND BEING TO TIGHT. SO I INITIALLY HAD TO HAVE RNY TO STOP MY SYMPTOMS. I AM HAPPY TO SAY THAT I NO LONGER VOMIT AND LIVE A HEALTHY LIFE THAT NO LONGER REVOLVES AROUND FOOD AND GETTING SICK. I HAVE LOST WEIGHT AND NO LONGER TAKE ANY MEDICATIONS!I AM SO PLEASED TO HAVE HAD THIS SURGERY AND LIVE LIKE A NORMAL PERSON. hello its been awhile

sorry to those of u who have sent me messages and i dint respond. i have been really busy with my new life. i am now divorced so its just me and i have to do everything on my own. its strange to b single again. its been soooo hard for me to watch my eating and slide back into bad habits due to to stress but im doing ok. damn the coke.... lol. my labs are great and still have to take no medications. this wls has been a blessing and a curse at the same time for me. i changed emotionally and physically and hard to keep up with the changes. i still want more ps and constantly pick on myself and still see the fat girl. is that how the rest of u feel? well my new life includes a new boyfriend who i have now been seeing for a year. he is great and treats me very well. i love him very much and he loves my daughter which is the most important for me. the funny thing is that he knew me when iwas fat. he was a doctor that came in for the 4 years i have been at my job and never paid much attention to himand one day i was like hugh man heis good looking. never thought i would date a doctor but thats not how i look at him anymore. we take lots of trips together which is great cuz i do things now that i never would before wls. im sooo happy for that. i must download new pics cuz ilook sooo diff since my july pics last year. hi too all my friends and will post later

back from vacation

this has been quite a bad year for me. first my grandma dies then several months later i had to put my cat asleep and then to top it off i come back from a weeks vacation and my sister tells me they had to put my dog down down tht was fifteen years old..... god bless u sparkey i miss u soooooooo much.but the worst part is that my marriage is over after being with my husband of 14 years and we were together for 20 years. the sad part is that 2 years ago i would of never thought that possible. part of my problem was the fact that i did loose weight. this surgery messed my mind up more than anything. i wasnt mentally prepared for the changes. i definatly wasnt used to all the atttention and compliments i recieved from people and i admit i want used to it. would i have the surgery again yes no question about it i feel better and have no medical issues at all. i had ps and i dont regret that either. i wish my husband could understand that i had changed and that im sorry he couldnt accept that granted that wasnt the only problem.... now 2 years later my life is much different and i have to get used to being alone. i do now have a boyfriend which i really like and have been dating for 5 months who does treat me really nice and the funny thing is that he is a doctor and understands and supports my choice that i lead a healthy lifestyle something my husband had trouble with and was used tothe old krista who ate all the time and didnt excersize thats the old me and i need to be the real me.....

boy have i changed

wow its been awhile since i have been on here i have been so busy. well i now wear a size 1 or a zero i thought that was never possible !!!!!!!  i now shop in the jr dept and really feel great! i never throw up and can eat really anything except my body says no to high fat and sugary foods..lol.. i cant belive the difference inside and out. some majot changes did happen in my life one really bad thing that i dont care to comment on now but physically i do look great! i still do see my flaws but i always will. im shocked that today at vs i have to buy small underwear when 2 years ago i never would of fit or walked into vs. its the small things that make me smile... i hope best of luck to everyone and will have to post some after ps pic........

i love to shrink

well i was shopping again and that has become my new favorite obsession and im now in a size 2!!!!!!!!! i keeping waiting for this dream to be over and wake up. i cant believe how small i am now. i have never been this small even at birth! lol..... i cant belive that almost 2 years ago i was a size 24 and i sont even recognize myself yet. i still am having a hard time with the new attention iam starting to recieve  i still get quite embarresed. take care krista

its been awhile since my last post so i just wanted to drop a few lines. i have been told by 2 doctors to quit loosing weight! i have lost another 15 lbs since my ps and i was told by the ps that if i keep loosing my nice flat tummy will start having some loose skin again! i have had to cut down on my excersize and up my food but i still continue loose. weird when u r told ur entire life u r tooo fat and need to go on a diet. iam still swollen and pray my lowere abd will become flatter if not he is going to redo it for free!!!!!!! hope everyone is well and having a great new year!!
