Hey everyone my name is Jessica from NY. I am 22 years old and I just had lab band surgery. I already know its the best decision i ever made for myself. Before surgery i was the heaviest I've ever been, 225 lbs on my 5'5 frame. I was a skinny child up until age 9 or 10. I went through a lot of trials and tribulations which started a vicious cycle of emotional eating which later led to a list of diets, u name it i was on it but the weight never seemed to stay off for long. I let my weight go and after a while I just couldnt recognize the person in the mirror. The comments people made, the way i perceived myself, my lack of self-esteem; all led to my decision to have lap band surgery. Im on my way to the new me...

6 days post-op

so its been 6 days and i lost 8 lbs so far..im excited but ive been experiencing a lot of gas pains from the lapriscopic surgery..just hope it doesnt last much longer! ive got a ways to go but i know it can only go up from here! =]
