Surgeon TestimonialGeorge FerzliMet Dr. Ferzli and his staff for the 1st time on Monday, 3/16. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. Dr. Ferzli, very nice made me feel extremly comfortable.
Will update as time goes by.
Update: Had my surgery on 12/9/2009, and I cannot say enough good things about Dr Ferzli and his staff. Dr Ferzli is very nice and every time I've seen him has a gentle smile on his face. His staff is very friendly and accomodating. The hosptial, Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, was also a wonderful experience, the staff/nurses was very friendly and helpful.
Any questions or concerns that I may have had, Dr Ferzli, his staff and the hosptial always addressed them, and made sure that I understood. They didnt just ramble medical terms and walk away.

Hi, my name is Toni Ann, I live in NY. My ultimate goal is to lose 80-100 lbs.
I'm married for 11 yrs but hubby and I have been together for 21 yrs (together since HS) We have 2 beautiful boys, they are my main reason for my life change. They are young, and I want to be around for a long time for them and be able to actively participate in their lives, not just sit on the sidelines of their lives.
I love tattoos, motorcycles and having fun with my friends. I enjoy mostly all music, but not rap, cant stand it.
That's about it. Hope to make some good friends on here!
I feel the best I've felt in years! on January 9, 2011 8:19 pm
Well, It's officially past my surgiversary,(12/9/09) and I'm down 60 lbs!! I canNOT believe how fast it's gone by. My weight loss is slower now, but I don't mind at all. I go to the gym now every morning after droping off my boys at school. I feel soooo good. I LOVE buying clothes and looking in the mirror. I'm actually able to buy clothes at a "regular" store, not the "fat girl" store. I haven't seen my surgeon in a while or my nutrtionist, but I plan on making appts to see them. I don't want to not go, I think mentally, having them still a part of my life will keep me grounded. Anyway, just wanted to post my latest, I haven't been on the computer much, so therefore, I haven't been on here in forever. Til next time!!

I feel so good! on May 22, 2010 11:47 am
Well, I'm 5 months out now and I'm down 42 lbs. I feel great. Better than I have in a real long time. I started running at intervals, like I'll run at 5.8 for like a minute or minute and a half, then walk for 2-3 minutes at 3.5, then run again. I just recently upped it to 6.0, but go back and forth. I've read online that it's better to do it that way then just to run for a 1/2 straight, because it raises and lowers the heart rate, which is better for weight loss and towards the aerobic end of it. I fit in my jeans that I haven't worn in God knows how long and they look good on me. I'm sitting on the back of my husbands Harley and I see the difference in my legs (look thinner) and in the room between us. I actually have space between my boobs and my husbands back! LOL! I feel my confidence coming back and it feels sooooo good!! I just recently added an app on my iphone that keeps track of your calories, fat, and protein, which is really helpful.

1st adjustment on March 3, 2010 7:27 pm
Well, yesterday (3/2/10) I went for my 1st adjustment. I have to say, I was very excited, but very nervous at the same time. But it was nothing!! I couldn't believe it. All I felt was a little stick, then I had to sit up, drink water he adjusted it drank some water and that was it, he pulled the syringe out and it was done. Just as easy as that. I left feeling so relieved! LOL!! Whew! I have 5cc's. And I'm on liquids again.

I'M BANDED!! on December 14, 2009 7:51 pm
Well, on December 9th 2009, I received the Lapband. It's only 5 days ago and I'm already feeling better. I'm sore, and obviously cant do the normal day to day things, but for the most part, I'm doing great. I do miss chewing on food..lol. But all in due time. I'm soooo excited to start my new life. I look forward to the days where I can run around with my boys and play and not be embarrassed or winded. I look forward to putting on a sexy dress for my husband and have his eyes pop out of his head..lol. He's always telling me how beautiful I am, but I never really feel that way, and I love him for loving me, all of me. Oh and I really look forward to looking hot on the back of my husbands Harley!! WOO HOO!! I've always hated being at a traffic light and just feeling like everyone is looking at my fat ass!! I'm excited to start eating healthier and being able to exercise.
I'm just really happy!!

FINALLY! on November 23, 2009 7:09 pm
Well, finally after trying again for the 2nd time to get approval for inpatient care, my insurance still denied me the inpatient, BUT my Dr is going to do outpatient for me. Supposedly, Dr Ferzli does not do outpatient, and I'm the 1st. Which I find a bit odd, but whatever, it's finally going to get done!!! My surgery date is December 9!!! And NO I do NOT care that it's right before Christmas!!! I'm just soooo freaking happy!!!
