The Journey Begins Again

So I had a RNY in November in 2001 and although I lost 80lbs in a year. It slowly started to come back and then I had a baby in 2005 and have gained a total of 140lbs back. Its been very depressing, but I am determined to go back to my post op weight ! I was happy at 180lbs bc I am 5'9 and I like a little meat on me, not this much meat !! 
I have Kaiser Insurance right now, and they won't do a revision so I have to wait until Jan 2008 when my Aetna PPO kicks in. 
My original surgeon was the fabulous Dr. Ali from Smart Dimensions, he is so wonderful, and I will be going thru them again for my revision from RNY to DS which I have been researching extensively.
I think my downfall was Diet Coke and will start to ween myself off of it as of NOW ! The surgeons tell you no sugars, or regular soda but Diet Coke was like an addiction and I was up to three a DAY. 
So that's my background and hope to keep posting regularly.

My Story

I am a 27 year old mother of a beautiful 2 year old daughter named Samantha. I live at "The Happiest Place on Earth" (well about 3 miles from there). I work as a customer service rep and it doesn't help that I am not as active as I was.
 I have been overweight my entire life and have previously had surgery in 2001. I was anemic for 2 years and the supplements and injections I was getting caused me to gain about 60lbs. I did not gain back all my weight with that alone, I have a terrible sweet tooth that crept back after I had the baby. I would rather eat a cupcake than a hamburger. 
Even though I have gained back most of my post op weight, I still have some of the effects from the surgery like dumping and the "stuck" feeling when I eat pasta or rice and I still can't eat ice cream or heavy dairy bc I will get the runs. (tmi i know!)
I hope to get approved for a revision, but will have to wait until Jan 2008 to start the process again due to insurance issues. I am going thru Smart Dimensions with Dr. Leport or Dr. Ali again.
