Surgeon Testimonial

Adrian Dan
I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Dan. He's compassionate, and a great surgeon. My first impression of him was that he was soft spoken, and kind. I definately made the right choice in surgeons. The office staff are all great too. I look forward to, and enjoy every visit to The Bariatric Care Center. Thanks Dr. Dan. None of this would have been possible without you.

What kind of woman...
March 19, 2009 7:04 am
You are lovely and caring. You help others and spread out a lot of sympathy. Your life aim maybe is to serve the people. But your weakness is that you forget about yourself, your own needs. All your time is held back for your friends and family. You are always there for people in trouble. Ready for any emergency. You make a lot of sacrifices just to be a good human. But every woman has her needs, her longings and a destiny. Don't lose yourself in work or curing other people's souls. You will have your own problems in your life. Another problem is that you don't say your opinion when it's right and important to say it. People trample onto your soul if you are always so kind and lovely and helpful. They will play on you. Though you should try to relax more and enjoy your life, you should not lose the gift that was given to you to help others . Not everyone is created this way... You are unique and rare!

It's all true except for the not giving my opinion...that's a laugh LOL

My Story

All my life I have struggled with my weight. I was put on my first diet at the tender age of 5 years. Hard to believe, but true. I weighed in at 79 lbs. By the time I graduated high School, I weighed in at around 275 lbs. And about a year after graduation I weighed about 315 lbs. I tried many, many diets over the years with little success. My weight problem is partly bad choices, and partly genetics. Alot of the people in my family are overweight, but they weren't heavy as a child. Just me. So I just made up my mind that it was time to make some changes.

I decided that gastric Bypass is the best option for me about a year ago, but was too afraid to begin the process. I decided to go to another seminar, just to hear the information again, and maybe to calm some of my fears. I had already looked up every bit of information I possibly could on the internet.

In October of 2007 I went to another seminar, and my initial consultation at the Bariatric Care Center at City Hospital was set for December 2007. I was weighed, measured, and had pics taken of me (that was really embarresssing lol). I was given so much information that my head was just spinning.  I met with Dr. Dan, who will perform my surgery, and oversee my progress. Even now, after being poked, prodded, and having had an Upper GI (WOW! Did that ever suck!), I still have doubts. With all that said, I'm going forward, and I do think this is going to change my life for the better.
