Surgeon Testimonial

Aniceto Baltasar, M.D.
One of the finest and most skilled physicians I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.rnrnDr. Baltasar's experience is unparalleled in bariatric surgery and his personal manner is genuine and caring. rnrnI am not a person who is easily impressed by doctors, but Dr. Baltasar, his surgical team and his staff impressed me a great deal.rnrnAll of the staff at the Clinica in Spain were kind, caring and did thier jobs very well. I always felt I was getting the best care possible and would not hesitate to go back for any reason.rnrnIf you are considering Dr. Baltasar for your surgery and have questions about the experience please feel free to PM me. I also recommend the baltasar-ds mailing list at Yahoo Groups, through which you can contact many other patients of Dr. B.

Pre-Op / Post-Op
on October 10, 2008 12:08 pm

It's hard sometimes for us to see the difference in ourselves, but today I dug up my 2 year pre-op pic.

I was probably well above my pre-op weight of 434 in this picture but I have no idea what it might have actually been.

Even I'm starting to see the difference now. :-)

Cleveland Walk from Obesity - September 27th
on September 27, 2008 3:02 pm
Here is the raw footage of the start of the walk, shot by local TV station channel 5.

You can sort of see us go by, but just for a second or so at 0:32.

Well that was... easy?

Little mini-wow today.

I took a much longer walk than I normally take today. I've only walked this route three or four times since my surgery.

The first time I was just a wreck by the time I got there. The second the third times I was shaky and in quite a bit of pain, but I still made it.

Today I went out for a short walk and thought what the hell, lets try it again. Well, to my surprise it was almost too easy this time. My joint pain is no better, I don't think that will ever go away, but effort wise, it was just no big deal at all. I actually was able to enjoy it.

Maybe I've finally lost enough so that each pound is going to make it a little easier to get around. One can hope. :-)

Now its time to hit the bottle.... the Aleve bottle.
