Surgeon Testimonial

Frank H. Chae
My first impression of Dr. Chae was complete confidence! He is very knowledgeable in his professional field and communicates that to the patients. He is very up front about all risks and explained the positive aspects of the surgery. He answered all my questions A to Z to relieve all doubt or stress going into the WLS procedure. He makes you feel good about yourself and what lies ahead. I love him dearly since undergoing the surgery! I rate his bedside manner and surgical competence as great! He has a very structured aftercare arrangement designed toward patient success. The Midtown office staff is absolutely awesome and caring! You don't feel an ounce of embarassment for being overweight. The staff truly cares about you as an individual and imparative toward your success! The only problem I ran into ALSO was getting a hold of the SkyRidge Medical Office staff to make an appointment or follow-up on information. You rarely get a live person and had to leave a message on most occassions. I communicated by email 98% of the time, which took away from the customer experience. I found this to be very annoying and frustrating when I wanted to speak with a human individual! A lot can be learned from the Midtown Office which really rocks.

IT'S NOW OR NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My story is pretty much like everyone else.  My weight has been a continual yo-yo my entire life.  I would loose the weight and then gain it right back.  I did pretty good maintaining my weight during my 30's and early 40's.  I noticed however when I reached my late 40's everything began to fall apart and go down hill.  It seemed like for every twenty pounds I lost, I gained forty to fifty pounds replacement.  The scale just kept going up, up and away!  Trust me, it is very true what they say:  "The older you get the harder it is to loose the weight."
I decided April 2008 to finally get serious and started looking into the WLS.  I was declined by the insurance company the first time my paperwork was submitted at the end of June 2008.  My paperwork was resubmitted to the insurance company a second time last week (1/6/09) and I am waiting anxiously to hear something any day now.  Wish me luck cause it is truly time for a NEW BEGINNING IN 2009!

Hello Everyone,

I can't believe how quickly time has passed.  I have reached my six months post op and down 100 lbs.  I am loving the new me and looking forward to what lies ahead.  I cannot began to thank my family, co-workers, friends and OH Famiy for their support and encouraging words that have kept me going.  I thank God for a second chance at life!  I know that I couldn't have done this alone.  Life is amazing and getting better with every passing day!  I encourage anyone that is considering WLS to seriously consider it!  I guarantee that you won't regret it.  What a difference a day makes when your are moving in the right direction and seeing success for your hard earned endeavors.  I found that and more with my new found friends at OH Family....LOL

AND SHE IS OFF AND RUNNING...
on June 21, 2009 5:49 pm
A Special Hello To The OH Family,

Let me begin by saying God is good!  I am officially four months post op and down 82 lbs...  I feel so great, words cannot begin to express my enthusiasm.  The weightloss has slowed down considerably from the earlier months.  I have reached plateau points which last for one and two weeks at  a time.  I am happy to report however that when the scale begins to move again, the results are a pleasant supprise!  I am having so much fun going into the early summer months.  It feels fantastic getting out and doing things that I haven't done in years due to my excessive weight gain.  I can say for the first time in a long time that I am in control of my life.  I look forward to the months ahead, as I transition into the new me!  Praises to God, for having shown me to the doors of the OH family!  I love you all and wish you continued success in your individual endeavors.
