Newbie to OH

I am in the beginning of my journey.  I have had all the testing done, and now am on the 6 month Dr. supervised diet (what a joke)  I have been under my primary care physician's care for type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and joint pains for 2 years, but the wonderful insurance company wants to make sure I go every month for 6 months to make sure the diet my doctor puts me on isn't the diet that finally works.  I am hoping to have the laproscopic gastric bypass this fall.  I am so inspired by the before and after pics on this site.  I hope to gain some friends for support on my journey on this website.
