My Story

My Name is Pattie I'm 51 and live in Louisisana. I'm married 30yrs and have a 27yr old son and a 17yr old son. And a springer spainel named Skippy. I had my rny on 11/08/06.

 3/12/07 Monday I had severe pain in my upper right stomach, back and shoulder. I called my surgeron and he said to go to the emergency room. I went and the dr did a ultrasound and found sludge and multiple gallstones. I was told I passed gallstones thru my bile duct. I was admitted to the hospital and told I had cholecystitis (infection and inflammation of the gallbladder) and gallstones. I was put on IV antibotics and IV fluids for that night and next day and had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy on that Wednesday. I went home on Thursday afternoon and I'm doing ok.

 11/28/07 I had a endoscopy today to see why I have chest pain. The doctor found two crated ulcers. He put me on carafate, nexium and pepcid. I am scheuled for another endoscopy 1/31/08 to check and see if the ulcers are healed. 

1/31/08 I had a endoscopy today and the doctor said my two crated ulcers are still there. So he said to continue carafate, nexium and pepcid and I have a appt. with him in April. 

5/13/08 I saw Dr Richardson today and he put me on 2-Antibotics and Nexium, for 10days. When I'm finished  that, then I start Previcaid, Pepcid and Nexium 2-day for stomach ulcers. He will recheck me in 3-months after I have another endoscopy. He said if the ulcers are still there than he would do surgery and remove them.
