Surgeon Testimonial

James Stephen Scott M.D.
i had my first consult with dr. scott sept. 21. his office staff are the best. they make you feel at home. natalie, dr. scott's RN came in first to talk with me. and ask questions.she was very honest about everything. dr. scott was so nice. i was very comfortable talking with him. i would recommend dr. scott to anybody. even though i have not had surgery yet, i feel comfortable with my life in his hands.
sorry i have not updated this. i have had all my tests done. i am having surgery on november 20th. yippeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!
and i have been on an all liquid diet for 11 days now. went to see dr. de la torre (dr. scott's partner). so far i have lost 27lbs.
03/24/07 boy has been a while since on updated this. well i had surgery nov. 20, 2006. it was the best thing i have ever done. i will never regret it. dr. scott and his staff are the best. as of today, i have lost a total of 100lbs. i have been glowing all day. i still have 100lbs. more to lose. i take it one day at a time. his office staff are very nice, courteous people. i would recommend dr. scott and dr. de la torre. they are the best.

hi to my great OH family. i just wanted to let everyone who cares to know how my mom is doing. AWFUL!!!!
i won't go into all the stuff she has been through. but to make a long story short, we found out today that her cancer has spread out through her body. right now it has spread into her lymph glands in her small bowel. so the dr. said it is probably in other places too. it has been a whirlwind of a day.i came home, upset. went into my kitchen, cleaned the bottom of my frig. and my cabinet doors. then i got on my treadmill, and my exercise bike. now i feel like i am gonna fall over in my tracks. i am going to bed. luv u all

well my mom did not tell me everything yesterday. the cancer has spread into her lymph nodes. and the tumor has spread out towards her shoulder blade. so things do not look good. and i am at my lowest point with this. sorry for the negativity.

well to continue about my mom. we found out today that the mass is too big to operate. so they are gonna try to get it with radiation and chemo. they are suppose to put a port in her on april 16. and they said they would probably have to put a tube in her stomach because with radiation she would not be able to eat. her throat is gonna swell real bad. God it just breaks my heart to think about it. please, if anybody reads this?please pray for my mom.

worst nightmare

hello to my OH family, whom i think about everyday. my family found out tuesday, 03/25/08 that my mom, who is 65yrs. old has espohageous cancer. it is malignant. and we will not find out until mon. or tues. of next week if it is operatable. my research has found that it is still not widely known in the u.s. and it is mostly found in men. there are two different kinds. one is from gerd (heartburn, etc...) and the other is from smoking and drinking, which my mom done both for years. up until about 8yrs. ago. if it is only in the esophgeous then chances are they can operate. and it said the % rate of living is 25%. i just collapsed when i read that is the highest % rate. that is not not very high, which is pretty depressing. i know i am not the only one who has gone through or is going through this. but i am not ready to lose my mom. of course nobody ever is. my mom had had two heart attacks and had to have her leg amputated due to severe hardening of the arteries. and now she is fighting for her life again!!!
could you all please pray for my mom. i love u all.
