Paulette, I'm praying for you and your family, peace of mind, comfort, positive feelings, surgery being a breeze, and enjoying recouping! Good start to the rest of your life. Got a spot right next to me on the loser's bench and got a big glass of water for you! Bless you!

My five year anniversarry
on February 6, 2012 7:55 am
Well its been five years and I feel great I have kept my weight off but being heavy all those years took a toll on my back and I am having some major issues with that.  That being said I feel good.  I have not gained any weight.  Just the norm of what you eat and water retention weight which you lose in a day or two.  At 57  and being 147- 150 is a wonderful thing.  I still have my fat days and still have problems with bodt image.  I would love to have some nips and tucks but my husband says I am fine the way I am.
I still need to drink more water and I still do a protien shake or bar every day.  I would do it again if I had to.

4 Years out
on February 21, 2011 8:33 am
Well it has been quite some time since I posted.  It has been 4 years on 2/7 and I have kept my weight off.  I went to Dr. Caruana for my yearly check up and I lost another 2.6 lbs.  When I started this journey I weight 301 lbs, today I do fluctuate from 147-150.8 .  I wear a size 8 or 10 depending on the make.  I love the way I look and my DH is very proud of me so are the kids.  I find myself always being careful as what to eat.  It can be easy to slip in old patterns and forget the rules of the pouch.  WLS is the best thing i could have ever done for myself.

Oneder Land
on July 19, 2007 2:14 pm
Well its July 19 and this week I made onederland.  What a feeling.  I am down over 80 pounds .  I hope to lose another 40 or 50 but i know it will take time.  I still have a hard time with many foods and cannot eat sugar at all or I dump.  But maybe thats a good thing.  At almost 52 I feel like I did when I was thirty.  I can walk and walk and walk!!!  Myy children are pretty proud.  So is DH.

on May 9, 2007 4:31 am
Well I am 16 weeks ot and I am down 60 lbs.  I feel like I am at a stand still, but I quess those things happen.
I am now getting a lot of compliments here at work.  Since I have had my surgery 2  men at te Correctional facility were I work are getting the WLS.  They said I inspired them!
I still have a hard time getting in all my protien and water, but I am trying damn hard.  A lot of foods still make me nauseas, but I figured within time.
I have been exercising 3 times a week.  I am hoping my skin isn't to saggy!!

16 Days post-op
on February 21, 2007 2:26 pm
Well I am 16 days post op and I feel good other than I tire easily.  I am down 26 lbs.
Today I start a regular diet, but I am taking it slow because so many foods still make me nauseous.  I go back to work 3/5 so that will be the test.
