ObesityHelp

Hi everyone,   I have just been "watching" on OH and not posted until now.  I have learned so much from all of you.  thank you!  I just had my 2nd doctor's appt for the sleeve and am now just waiting the approval from my insurance.  They sound very hopeful that I will be approved so I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for surgery early June.  Now my question....I see alot of people do the liquid diet pre-op...my surgeon says that I don't need it but, to just keep eating right.  I am trying but, of course it is hard!  (I mean if I could diet on my own I wouldn't be needing to do this surgery) Has anyone ever not dieted pre-op ..and did that make it harder post op??  I do love my diet coke and I am giving that up now.  (I miss it already but, I can do it!)  I would appreciate any thoughts on the lack of pre-op dieting.
