I'm a 42-year old wife, mother, and teacher from Georgia.  I've been "pudgy" /overweight since about sixth grade.  When I stopped growing "UP", I started growing "OUT"!  Actually I was a size 7/9 all throughout highschool but I was still fat for my height....only 5.'0".   I left for college weighing 130 pounds and came home four years later weighing 170!  YIKES!

I've slowly been gaining 3 to 5 pounds per year steadily since college and finally hit my all time high of 221 this past year.  I've tried all the typical diets....never drugs or anything ridiculous or drastic.  Mostly I started Weight Watchers pretty much every January .  I'd do well until summer and then slowly start gaining the weight back. I've never been able to keep weight off.   Hopefully this surgery will be just the ticket to being healthy and getting my energy back!
