I was approved for RNY today and scheduled for one week from today, OMG I'm now having every emotion possible all at one time.  Mostly I'm so happy.

And waiting some more!
on April 4, 2011 10:01 pm
It has now been 4 months past when Dr. office thought surgery would be done.  I'm frustrated, sad, mad you name it but still hopeful.  My ideas hiking and a nice smaller swim suit this summer are slipping away. :0(     It is almost one year since I attended Dr. Coates seminar and started my 6 month required, monitered diet.

Still waiting!
on February 9, 2011 4:20 pm
It has now been 2 1/2  months since I finished my six months of dieting and jumping through every hoop thrown at me and yet I wait.   I have made a pest out of myself calling the Dr. office only to have the buck passed.  The other Dr. blah-blah-blah, the insurance, blah-blah-blah.  So last week I skipped the middle man, called insurance company only to be told, "no information had been returned since dec. one month after my last weigh in"   So I have been told for months to hang on, well people if you don't follow up on my behalf what are you doing for your patient.  I now know that the insurance got back to the Dr. office in less than one week.  Hummmmm interesting.  Evidentally my local provider is dragging her feet, but if thing had been submitted correctly the first time, would there have been a problem???   Okay end of rant!!

My Story
on December 10, 2010 12:24 pm
My story is like most everyone, I have been over weight my whole life.  I managed to stay a chubby normal until I was 26 years old with lots of exercise and trying every diet I heard of.  Then after a car accident I stedily gained, through my marriage and having my two beautiful kids.

Gastric bypass was first recomended to me by a Doctor when he diagnosed me with fibromyalgia.  At the time it was something scary and foreign.  By the time I wanted to pursue the surgery I didn't have an insurance that would cover it.  I have watched many family members  have it and been sucessful, including my husbands very expensive cash pay.

Now it is my turn, I'm very excited to be waiting for approval.  I am excited about following the rules and reaching my goal of a normal nonobese weight.  I have been mentally working toward this, learning new ways to deal with my emotions and stresses of life without overeating. And have lost 45 pounds.

I want to she my children growup, and have families, my baby is only three.  We have lots of camping and playing to do and I am hoping for some relief from crohnic pain, high blood pressure and every other side effect of being morbidly obese.

On the vain side....I want to ride with my husband on his Harley that I wouldn't even  try at my top weight of 392 lbs.  A BETTER LIFE.....HERE I COME :0)
