went to see the PCP 2day
on July 23, 2009 9:54 am
i got my referrals to get my EKG cause my PCP's was down (that so sucks). I got my blood work that my surgeon wanted 2day. also i got a re feral for a chest x ray. drum roll plz............................... i am also a diabetic not a big surprise cause like three  weeks ago i woke up with a bad headache and i had had it the nite before and my cousin said she gets headaches like the one i described when her sugar was up. so i went and took my sugar (yes i have had a sugar meter for months now and knew in my heart that i had sugar but i digress) it said 224 like omg so she gave me one of her pills for lowering sugar and just like that it worked well not instantly but I'll say a half an hour later. OK but here is the kicker they aren't going to give me anything for it being as though i will be having surgery pretty soon.

oh a lil update

i have had my cpap machine for like two weeks and some change now and i think i am sleeping worse now. it just the  mask i wake up to adjust it in the middle of the nite and i am still so sleepy during the day. so i am going to call the study center and see if i can get the nasal cushions maybe that will be better for me.

FYI
(for or new ppl )

*Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing during sleep. Each episode, called an apnea , lasts long enough so that one or more breaths are missed, and such episodes occur repeatedly throughout sleep. The standard definition of any apneic event includes a minimum 10 second interval between breaths, with either a neurological arousal , a bloodoxygen desaturation of 3-4% or greater, or both arousal and desaturation. Sleep apnea is diagnosed with an overnight sleep test called a polysomnogram, or a "Sleep Study".

*Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is a method of
respiratory ventilation used primarily in the treatment of sleep apnea, for which it was first developed.
