Surgeon Testimonial

Andrew Averbach
Dr. Averbach is straightforward, warm and highly intelligent. He wanted to know, that as a patient, you had educated yourself about the surgery, and was comfortable with the information you had received about the surgery. He was very thorough. rnrnDr. Averbach illustrated the next steps that would have to be taken and I moved forward. He was there by my side through the entire process. I've lost 125 pounds and will be forever grateful to Dr. Averbach.rnrnHe gave me HOPE.rnrnI would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Wow, 2009 has been a real trip for me...
on December 5, 2009 6:10 pm
I am still so grateful for the tool that was given to me on February 3, 2003.  I used it to live my life again.  And, live is just what I've done.  I have experienced so much since having lost weight.  I wouldn't have been able to do all that I have and for the memories and experiences, it has been worth it.  It wasn't easy, but I did it.  Now, almost 7 years later, I have to regain my composure, look within, and reach deep inside to make sure that I don't misuse this tool.  I have gained about 30 pounds since having surgery - all of which has come on in the last 9 months or so.  To go from a size 8 to a size 12 is frightening to me.  Have I lost my mind or something???  I have began to get off my lazy buns and walk on the treadmill and watch my intake of carbs.  I am beginning to right down everything I eat so I can see where I am going wrong and make the necessary corrections.  When I was a size 22, size 12 would have been a dream to me.  However, I don't want to get comfortable at this size and weight.  My frame doesn't want to accommodate it.  I know what I must do.  Now I just have to DO IT!

I'm off... because I am rambling now.....
