Fat Clothes

I'm so sick of Lane Bryant, I could puke every time I drive by one. Don't get me wrong, the clothes are cute(ish), but they overcharge because they know they have the market for fatties cornered. I would love to go to a typical store and just buy something off a normal sized rack! I can't even tell you how long it has been since that has happened. I'm a fashionista at heart...really, I am. It's sad when I walk past places and see something wonderful, that I know the normal sized girl inside of me, would love to wear. It's not about vanity...it's about feeling like a woman. Being a normal woman's size, not my husbands size. Feeling wonderful enough from the inside out to put on a bright colored dress with flirty shoes. Listen, here's my wardrobe: black pants (check), black sweater shrug (check), bright colored tank (check)...but notice, it's all about the black. Who on earth cares if it "slims" me by 15 pounds when I already weight 240? And I've noticed, even places like Target are carrying adorable clothes for non-fatties over the past few years for a great price. But I just have to keep walking right on past to get my stupid toilet paper and milk...pretending that it's not hurting me on the inside that I can't wear normal clothes. Well, it does hurt. I want a change and I'm willing to do what it takes to help me get back to a normal, womanly, size. I'm firing Lane Bryant after my surgery...AND I MEAN IT!!!
