IT HAS BEEN A MINUTE
on October 18, 2008 4:00 pm

Let me start by saying thank you for the positive re-enforcements, it means alot to me.

It has been almost 4months (6-24-08) since I had my surgery I have a total of 73lbs to far, I feel great. But it also been a struggle I have had 2 emergency endoscopes because food had gotten stuck in my esophagus twice not pleasant . So this means that I can't eat meat (only fish & eggs). I have to supplement with protein skakes. I am having a problem with my hair falling out ( any suggestions) due to lack of protein. .  Every three to four weeks I have to my new clothes this feels good piece of advise check out the thirft stores for new clothes they good bargains, until I reach my goal weight of 150lbs.

I must say that it is a struggle everyday but it is worth it can I an AMEN

Until the next time luv u all u guys

TO ALL MY GASTRIC BYPASS (RNY) PARTNERS
on July 9, 2008 7:48 pm
I am two weeks post - op, and have realized that the work has just begun. This procedure is not the easy way out as I have been hearing out there. I must put in the foot work and it is not easy. At this time I have to inject myself twice a day plus take all the required supplements and medications, not an easy task.

This is an emotional journey you actually see your body transform right in front of your face. Also what is very important is to listen to your Dr. and follow his intruction very carefully, also attend support groups very helpful.

Good luck to everyone

SUGERY DONE
on July 3, 2008 4:49 am

Arrived at hospital at 6am was processed and IV's started medicated and on my way to the O.R. by 7am. Out of surgery by 11am and in the recovery room told everything went well they removed my gallbladder it was full of stoned, I was also told that I have something Pernious Ememeia which is lack of B-12 and also have a low hemacrit.

When I was brought to my room my mouth was very dry and I could not have anything for two days not even water, then they get you out of bed the same day so that you can start walking.
