Wait, Wait Wait
on May 17, 2008 7:07 am
SO I still have a few weeks till my surgery.  I have my pre op class this week so hopfully aftter that things will start to "fly by" as they say.

I was approved April 16, then finally got a date on April 29th for June 10th.  I have been reading posts and there are people who just got their date( a month after me) and are scheduled for the day after me. (with my doctor!!!!!)  How can that been?  I have hated the wait from approval to surgery, it has sucked.  And it really pisses me off.  How is it that they dont have to wait the extra 3-4 weeks that I had to. Hurgh.  O.k. Had to vent.

Things are moving along
on May 5, 2008 1:03 pm
So things are moving along.  I got a few pieces of information over the weekend and my preop testing is scheduled for 5/28.  Then the NUT called today and my pre-op class is 5/20.  I asked waht time and she said "all day".  I thought it would be a couple of hours but all day, wow.

I went to GNC this weekend to browse the shakes and such.  The paperworks said to try and start getting in 60 gm of Protien before the surgery so I picked up some Iso Pure (liquid pre mix).  That is some tasty stuff! I also started pushing to get in 64 + oz of water a day.

Last night I also worked on trying to make smaller portions for dinner. My husband has always said I make meals for an army. I made 3 grilled chick breast and some black bean and corn salsa.  Here are the links for both as they were awesome! I used bonelss vs the chicken legs and just grilled it vs pan cooking it.  http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_33155,00.html

This Balck Bean Salsa is soooo yummy.  http://www.cooks.com/rec/doc/0,171,131180-252193,00.html

Enjoy!
