I am home now.
I was stuck in Las Cruces for 10 days. I stayed with sister, Dr. Celeste Taylor a Mayo Clinic trained gastroenterologist.
She took me to a fine restaurant most evenings as well as shopping in a few gourmet and natural grocery stores.
I indulged in excellent marinara, curry sauce and
Mediterranean
lemon chicken soup.
I put together a great protein shake combo. Soy with pea and rice powder, no sweeteners. I only managed one shake a day.
I have a suger problem. I am craving the carbs including sweets. This will be primary focus in the days to come. I fought over this sugar habit with my sister. She watched me for 10 days and called me out on the sugar. There is a direct connection between sugar (heroin) and negative effects in my body. But like heroin, the less sugar used, the less is required for the euphoric effect that it imparts.
now i am home and trying to achieve a healthful routine. I immediately reverted as much as possible to former self-destructive eating. That lasted 2 days. I am at my 12th day and going back to strict liquid. I may have an obstruction already and am hoping to resolve it. I am hoping that I did chew every single bite for it only takes one mis-step with a fairly industructable piece of protein. I can still drink. My sister , the GI, says it is time to back off all the way.
I finally got some momentum today. I started moving. I was a slug the 10 days at my sister's house. she would nag about getting blood clots so we walked the shops for excersize.. Here on the 12th day I took a walk long the ditch with the dogs.
My sister called today and we walked through the pantry together looking for the bad stuff. Carbs. I plan to put the noodles in my husband's room with his sweets. Canned fruit is an issue. I usually drink the juice after giving the fruit to the boy. Ettie, my sister, says TO THROW IT OUT.
Beans are good if chewed very carefully like one bean at a time. Marinate in Italian dressing.
