I did it! I can't believe it! I am a loser. I got home Thursday and am still kinda sore and tired. I will update soon about the day of my surgery.

Tuesday it will be 2 weeks since my surgery. I still can't believe I did it. It is like a dream. The morning I got to the Hospital I was so scared. I was the 2nd one, so I had to do a little waiting. That was bad. I just wanted it to be over. I woke up throwing up, like I always do. And that was no fun. The pain wasn't bad at all, just the throwing up. And my back hurt. That evening my sugar was 247 and they gave me a little insulin. I finally took some morphine and it helped my back pain. I slept ok until 2:00 when a nurse came in for blood work and she kept coming in every 30 minutes to do something. I also took some Lortab. It helped some. But the pain medication made me sick and gave me headaches. So I quit taking it. Dr.Clements said the surgery went as he expected. I saw him a couple times and some other Drs. that do rounds for him. The second day the broth went down ok and the third day I ate a couple bites of mashed potatoes. Dr. Clements said I could go that evening if I did ok on soft foods. UAB was a nice hospital. My husband payed extra for a private pavillion room. It was really worth it. My husband had his own room joined with mine with his own bathroom. It was great. My husband stayed with me the whole time. He is the greatest husband ever. He helped me take a bath and helped me get up everytime I needed to. I don't know what I did to deserve him, but I thank God for him everyday. I can always depend on him. God has blessed me so much. The ride home was kinda rough, but I was glad to be home and see my kids. I missed them so much. If I eat to much or to much carbs I break out in a sweat. I hope that gets better. I haven't really wanted to eat much. I go back for my 2 week appointment on Sep.17. I will update then on how much I have lost. I haven't wanted to weigh. I just haven't wanted to think about it yet. I don't want to be obsessed with the scales. I will update soon.

I went for my 2 week check up Monday the 20th. I had lost almost 15 lbs. My sugar levels are great, and I am not taking any medicine. I have no more acid reflux! I have been tired some, but feeling better everyday. The Dr. said I had to go to a liver Dr. because I have alot of fat in my liver. He said it should be ok. I will update about that later. My liver test came out ok.
