4 months out
on September 14, 2009 4:55 pm
I'm a little over 4 months out now and I've lost 80 lbs!!!   I'm loving this life!  I've been shopping in "regular" stores and have said so long to my old friend, Lane Bryant, lol.  I just cleaned out my closet this morning and realized that I bought a pair of jeans at Old Navy a few weeks ago and never wore them and now they are too big, they are a size 18.  My boyfriend and I started taking Chicago Stepping lessons and are loving it (and I wore heels and danced for 3 hours straight and didn't die, lol).  I'm going to be posting up some new pics soon, as soon as I can get my boyfriend to take some.  I love my RNY!

Two weeks out....
on May 22, 2009 7:31 am
Today I'm two weeks out and doing great!  I went to the doctor yesterday and they said I can eat soft foods now.  I was so excited, I went home and had scrambled eggs with cheese and it was so good, lol!  As of today, I'm down 21lbs and I was able to wear a pair of jeans yesterday that I haven't been able to fit into for over 6 months.  Before I got pregnant two years ago, I was down to wearing a 14/16 and I kept all my "skinny clothes" and now I can't wait to wear them again.  I already have an outfit picked out for a birthday party in August, LOL!!!!  I'm so excited that my journey is going full speed ahead!

Home....
on May 10, 2009 4:46 pm
Well, I'm home from the hospital today (great Mother's Day gift!).  I'm feeling okay, sore and tired but mostly pretty good (with the help of painkillers, lol).  I'm definitely glad to be able to lay down in my own bed, I hate being in the hospital.  My doctor said everything went really well and that I'm doing great.

Almost There
on March 25, 2009 6:24 pm
I had my first appointment with my sugeon at the beginning of December 2008.  As of now, I have finished all of my tests and I have another appointment with the surgeon on April 2, 2009.  Hopefully my surgery will be scheduled on that day.  I can't wait to start the rest of my life after surgery!

My Story

I'm a 29 year old mother of one who has had a weight problem for as long as I can remember.  When I was around 10 years old, my mother went on NutriSystem and that's when my own dieting began.  I remeber watching my mom lose weight and I would look at myself in the mirror and think I was too fat also.  I've basically been dieting on and off for the past 19 years, sometimes alongside my mother and sometimes on my own.  I recently had a daughter of my own and decided that I can't let her grow up watching me struggle with my weight for the rest of my life.  I need to change this once and for all before she remembers me as her fat mom.  I'm so excited about this journey and I can't wait to go shopping in the "regular" stores, lol!
