I am 26 years old. I am a Christian. God is the first and foremost important thing in my life. I strive every day to become the women God created me to be and work towards fulfilling His purpose for my life.

I have been extremely blessed with a great and supportive family which I am very close to. To me family is one of the most important things in life and without mine, I don't know where I would be today. They are my haven.

I am in the process of finishing my degree in child development and elementary education. It seems to be taking forever to finish! I'm excited to get my degree and start making a difference and do what I'm passionate about-which is, work with children!

I am originally from Colorado but have lived in Arizona, Nevada, Montana and Tennessee. I moved back to Colorado in February '07 after living in Oklahoma for ten years. I feel very blessed to be able to be back "home" near my sister and her family.

If you want to know anything else...feel free to ask!

A little over 9 months out...

Well, I achieved another goal yesterday! I went to the Lucky store and bought myself a pair of jeans!  Even before surgery that was something I said I would do for myself when I lost weight.  I still have 14 more lbs to lose but I needed a pair of jeans and found some I really liked (in a size 29!).  I have never in my life spent that much money on a pair of jeans but it is something I've wanted to do since I was in high school and now I have done it!  What a good feeling! I also ran into the GAP while I was at the mall yesterday and was looking for a pair of Khaki pants. They had some on clearance for $9.59 (that's a bargain at the GAP where normally they are $49.50!) but the only size they had was a 6...I thought "what the heck" and went to the dressing room to try them on and....THEY FIT!!!!  Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would have fit into a size 6 anything!  My goal at the beginning of all this was to be an 8-10 and now I own a pair of size 6 khakis!  Super excited and I still have more weight to lose!  The journey has been so great and this has been the best decision I have ever made!
