a second glance...

I am horrible at this blogging thing....any how!
I have lost 71lbs so far and actually weight less now than I did my senior year of high school.  I have bones I never knew where hiding in my body!  Yes I have extra skin...but who cares!  The worst part is that my hair is falling out but lucky for me I have super thick hair before (I use to have to have it thinned every hair cut), so it really is not noticeable.  I am in a 14 now and even zipped a 12 this morning (caused a huge muffin of skin on top, so I am not likely to wear them anytime soon...lol).  Life is so good that it feels like a dream.  My favorite moment today was me having to stop and take a second glance at my reflection on the glass doors in the grocery store.  I was like holy smokes that's me, look at how flat my belly is!

Said my forever goodbyes to the 200's and am welcoming myself to the Onederland this am!  Weight loss has been really slow for me but I am looking and feeling GREAT!

Merry Surgery-Eve to me!

My last night trapped in this body...I can not even express how grateful I am for the gift I am about to receive. 

I am not nervous at all, a surprise to most of my friends and family.  I guess that I am really truly ready.  I have not even had a desire to eat today (really had to force myself to get in my 6 small meals). 

I am praying that I can recover quickly and get back to being a mama full time.  But until then, my mama is staying with me and so loving the fact that I even asked for her help.  I have always been very independent and have never asked for her help. 

So for tonight, I am going to take some final measurements and have my husband take some updated before pics.  Followed by a hot soak in the tub and a scrub down with the yucky surgical soap. 
Read a little and then dream of the life I am about to be given!

Going to get my new birthday on monday March 21, 2011.  I am so excited.  So my question to my fellow OH friends...What did you take with you to the hospital?

Insurance....did you get my fax?

My meeting with surgeon was wonderful and all paperwork has been submitted to insurance for approval. 
Today I started my Low carb diet (no more than 40 per day).  Breakfast was easy, protein shake, but now I can not decide what to have for lunch....
