Surgeon Testimonial

Leo Davidson, M.D.
When I first decided to go through with WLS there was never a dought in my mind who I wanted to do the surgery. I have always done my research when I had to make any important decision and this was no different to me. During my research my opinions of Dr. Davidson were only confirmed. He is a very compassionate man that understands how this excess weight can alster your life nad one of the major things that made my mind up for me is that he cares about his patients, he remembers who you are and goes out of his way to find out how you are doing. That is very important to me. And on top of all of the this he is considered on of the best in the WLS field which also helped me make my decision.

I plan to graduate in May of 2009 and I plan to walk across that stage in a body that I am proud of, so wish me luck and I am open to any advice.

Surgery finally scheduled
on June 26, 2008 4:57 pm
After all the waiting and waiting I finally have a surgery date. It was almost postponed because the office held my paperwork for a little bit but that is ok because it all worked out in the end.
Thanks all for the great stories I have read and hopefully soon I can add my own story to the pile.

My Story

I have gone from one extreme to another with WLS, when a couple of friends at work had WLS almost a year ago all I could think was that they could do it if they tried and at that point I truly believed it. I was once over 400lbs and on my own lost about 120lbs before my hysterectomy in 2007, so I thought anyone could lose if I could. However after watching one of these women I started to have a change of heart, she was doing so well and looked so healthy that I wondered if WLS might benefit me after all. Well to make a long story short I made the decision to go ahead with Lap RNY at the end of April 2008, I completed all of my preop testing on May 21st and today June 16th I received the call that my insurance approved my surgery and I have an appointment on June 26th to set my surgery date. I don't think I have been this excited about anything in quite some time, so all of you fellow WLS folks wish me luck and pray for me please.
Thanks, Jackie
