My story? Really a common one. I fought obesity my whole life, remember fat comments from as early as kindergarten. Lost weight dramatically several times over the years, but regained it and then some. Fortunately, I was really pretty healthy, but was getting older, had sleep apnea and family history of diabetes. Was fortunate enough to meet my wife who has changed my life and has been very supportive. Intellectually, I knew that I was headed for serious health issues if I didn't do something drastic, but frankly, I was so tired of being overweight and deeply unhappy that I would do anything.  I encourage anyone contemplating the procedure to research it thoroughly, find the right doctor and have courage!
