I posted a couple weeks ago that I finally was scheduled after a 5 year struggle to get this surgery.  A few days later, the Dr's office called and told me insurance denied the request because my BMI wasn't 40+ for the 2 years previous to me starting the program (it was 38 or 39 for a few months).  I'm deciding now whether to do another sleep apnea test which is the only thing that would help.  Otherwise I have to wait another year, start over for a 3rd time, or give up the idea.  I'm leaning towards the latter...this fight is just killing me emotionally.

Back again

Weird to be back here reading old posts.  Last week I finally screwed up my courage and went to an informational meeting in Manchester.  The next day I had all my old tests faxed to the center...I'm hoping they can use at least some of it so I don't have to repeat everything but it's been so long, who knows?  This time round I'm looking at lap band as the option for me.  Here's to new beginnings.

Not doing it

Well hubby caught me writing the last post, so I had to talk to him about it.  He wasn't happy...and it's not because he's being a jerk or anything, he's just really scared.  He really wants me to try one more time with him and if that doesn't work, he said I can go ahead.  (He said I can now, but he hopes I don't)  So, my best friend is going to join WW with me and we'll see how it goes.

God, is it terrible that I'm rethinking this whole thing?  I so totally want to do this, but I can't even bring myself to talk to my husband about it again.  Plus all the travel to Manchester.  If I do decide to, I think I'll go with the LapBand, less risk.  What to do, what to do????????????
